🗞️ Within WordPress News
Here’s what I saw happening this past week:
- To me, the most interesting newsworthy thing shared was by Joost de Valk. Joost published an automatically updating solution that displays far more accurate CMS Market Share reports. It’s pretty neat.
Joost also goes into detail in a separate blog post as to how he came to the measurements he did.
- Joe Hoyle, CTO at Human Made, published a super neat WordPress performance related video last week. I listed it in my Performance section below, but I feel like more people should’ve seen it. Luckily for us, Joe released two more videos. So there’s three now:
These videos deserve waaay more views that what they currently got!

Related: on the WordPress Developer blog an article about Editing custom fields from connected blocks with the new Block Bindings API was published as well.

- Dave Foy shared shots.so with us on X. It’s a super neat tool to create super cool mockups from screenshots. Like turn any screenshot into one of those browser based screenshots, if you know what I mean. Anyway, go check it out.
