If you’re serious about building better WordPress sites, this is the newsletter for you.

And just like that, we’re mid-February already! Is time flying for you faster as well as you age? It’s catching me off guard all the time 😅

It’s been a calm week in the world of WordPress, but we did see WordPress 6.7.2 finally being released, plus two big releases of two very different WordPress tools.

Let’s jump in, hope you enjoy it!

🗞️ Within WordPress News

Here’s what I saw happening this past week:

  • Performance matters. Especially in e-commerce, so with that in mind, it’s great to see Woo, dare I say it, finally is putting real effort into making WooCommerce faster. Check this monster of a GitHub issue to get a feel of what’s coming. It’s a lot.

You can catch a lot of this in the latest Post Status Cache up podcast as well.

  • Another big release was announced this week with WPGraphQL v2.0. It’s a major release, and it has breaking changes, but version 2.0 and onwards paves the way majorly towards better performance, security, and long-term supportability.

  • My friends at Human Made are bringing together a whole host of WordPress experts to unpack what the platform’s future holds, and dive into how enterprise brands can unlock the full potential of WordPress . Check out the full agenda and register now.

  • One of my favorite form is Gravity Forms. And one of the things I like about them, besides the actual forms, is that there’s a ton of extra solutions built on top of them. For instance: Gravity Wiz. And besides building super cool add-ons for Gravity Forms, they also have a most excellent snippets library (including instructional videos).

  • The latest version of “What’s new in Gutenberg” was published by Jessica Lyschik. This edition covers Gutenberg 20.1 and 20.2 (basically everything that’s been shipped in 2025). DataViews and color options for headings are two features that stand out.

  • Kinsta has added the ability to update themes as well now to their MyKinsta portal. You can update multiple themes across all of your sites, or select specific sites or themes to update. And I can’t help but wonder how many hosting companies are going to follow suit? How long before this is the norm?

We’ve started building our next big feature that’s revolved entirely around Content Health. Can you guess what we’re going to fix?

🎁 Bonus

I’m in the middle of moving over all the Within WordPress podcasts over to a separate YouTube account. It would mean the world to me if you could subscribe to that dedicated YouTube channel, {{ subscriber.first_name | strip | default: “my friend” }}.

As soon as I’m finished with that, I’ll be releasing a whole bunch of recordings I’ve got ready to share with you!

That’s it for this week’s edition of Within WordPress. Thanks for reading!
