First off, in my defense, many moons ago I asked you what your favorite day for Inside WordPress was. And you pretty much all said Friday. OK, so please don’t blame me for overflowing your inbox today 😅
Anyway… hi friend! I’m so happy you’re here! Today’s edition marks my crossing an important milestone of more than 1000 subscribers. A milestone I had hoped to reach before the end of this year. Pretty stoked I’m already there.
So thank you all 🙏🏻
Let’s see what this past week brought, shall we?

Here’s what I saw happening this past week:
- Spencer Forman interviewed Matt Mullenweg recently and
published the interview on YouTube this week.
Now, I’m not in the habit of featuring Matt’s interviews here, but for this one I’ll gladly make an exception. Why? Well, because it’s really a great interview and gives us all a very good insight into how Matt is involved with WordPress on a day to day basis. As someone who is interested to get the inside scoop of where WordPress is going, you’re going to want to
Yes. I see what I did there 😏.
- Tom McFarlin published his tip on how to
avoid unwanted side-effects when building things with WordPress.
- The WordPress Theme Handbook is in the final stages of its overhaul. The
Getting Started chapter has been completely updated and is looking a LOT better now. There’s a nice addition called Core Concepts as well.
All in all, a great improvement. Next up should be the design and UX IMHO, but this content improvement is already wonderful.
