WordPress 6.6 will bring the following features:
- The theme.json will upgrade to version 3. This is a breaking change so you will need to update your theme with thought. One of the things is
adds is default font sizes , as well as standardize Typography and Spacing. Love this seemingly small features, but this will improve theme interoperability tremendously. Synced Patterns overrides will finally be available . Truly a game changer. Options API improvements will allow you to disable autoload for large options 😍 - WordPress 6.6
