Here’s what I saw happening these past weeks. Let’s start with the non-controversial stuff:
- If you use Figma, and built with blocks,
check out Johannes . It’s an an first opensource wireframe kit for modern WordPress.
- WordPress.com has released a prototype they call
Create Content Model . It allows you to Create content models from the UI.
Very interesting glimpse into what creating custom content inside a future version of WordPress could look like. Do check out the video in the linked GitHub repo.
- Milana Cap published an
interesting article on the WordPress Developer Blog for those of you still on the fence to dive into WP CLI.
- Adam Zielínski, of WordPress Playground fame, shared
a fun article about how he used AI (Google Gemini) to create a MySQL query parser.
It’s a great example of how AI can help you and push you into the right direction to figure out how to write code.
- One of my favorite FSE themes got a great update with dynamic patterns. Mike McAlister and Patrick Posner released their latest and greatest version of Ollie Pro. Check out
their video demonstrating you what you can do with it.

Gravatar Enhanced is a welcomed plugin that, you guessed it, enhances Gravatar with a Privacy Shield and a Gravatar Profile Block. And more to come!

new Performance panel landing page . You can now monitor your local Core Web Vitals in real time and compare them to real-user data from CrUX. - Cloudflare has
introduced Speed Brain and it’s helping web pages load 45% faster 😳

- Daniel Post has announced his upcoming launch of what I think is going to be a very cool plugin. It’s called Better Loop, and it’s his take on filtering WordPress’ loop within the Block Editor.

- Found a
cool logo mockup generator that does a bit more than what ChatGPT for instance does. Consent-O-Matic is a browser extension that recognizes CMP (Consent Management Provider) pop-ups that have become ubiquitous on the web and automatically fills them out based on your preferences – even if you meet a dark pattern design
